Wherever You're Coming From, Butte County is Easy to Access

Butte County is 2.5 hours from the Bay Area and 1 hour and 15 minutes from Sacramento, easily accessible on Highway 99 and Highway 70. It is also a morning’s drive from Redding and foothill towns throughout the Sierra Nevada and Central Valley.

Travel from SF

  1. Take I-80 East toward Sacramento
  2. Merge on CA-113 North
  3. Cut over to Highway 99 North, which leads you into Butte County

Approximate Travel Time: 3 hours

Travel from Sacramento

  1. Take CA-99 North
  2. Merge onto CA-70 to go to Oroville or continue on CA-99 North to head to Chico and Paradise

Approximate Travel Time: 1.5 hours

Travel from Reno

  1. Take I-80 West to Highway 20 towards Grass Valley/Nevada City
  2. Turn right on Woodruff Lane to cut over to Highway 70 North (before Marysville/Yuba City)
