Hop Harvest Festival, in its fifth year, showcases the best hop-forward brews of the harvest season.
On October 19, 2019, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. and the California Craft Brewers Association are hosting the Single, Fresh, Wet & Wild Hop Harvest Festival, a celebration of the beloved ingredient and the adventurous brewers who explore the boundaries of their explosive flavors. During the harvest season, when hops are most powerful, brewers rush them from field to kettle to harness unmatched aroma and flavor. We’ve invited the best breweries from across the U.S. (and beyond) to pour those coveted hop-centric creations.
When: Saturday, October 19, 2019, 3:00 – 7:00 p.m.
What: Celebrate all things hops with more than 100 featured beers, each one putting lupulin in the limelight. Meet brewers from across the country (and world!), listen to live hop-talks, jam to music, savor food from area food trucks and more!

Early Access $75.00 - Join the party an hour early for exclusive first tastes! Includes one-hour early access, festival entry, an opportunity to sample more than 100 unique beers, commemorative tasting glass, live entertainment and complimentary shuttles. No food is included in ticket price.
Designated Driver $30.00 - Includes festival entry, food truck voucher, commemorative tasting glass, and live entertainment. No beer tastings are included in ticket price.
What is there to do?
BEER SAMPLING: We’ve invited more than 50 top breweries from across the country to showcase their unique and innovative hop-forward beers. All festival proceeds will support the non-profit California Craft Brewers Association and its ongoing efforts to protect and support the craft brewing industry.
HOP TALKS: Sierra Nevada’s founder Ken Grossman and raw materials manager Tom Nielsen will lead a discussion about the trajectory of hops and innovation within craft brewing. They will be joined by brewer friends to discuss their experiences, the industry, and their unique and highly coveted beers.
MUSIC: Musical act announcement coming soon!
FOOD: Food will be available for purchase during the festival from a variety of different local food trucks and the Sierra Nevada Taproom.
TRANSPORTATION/PARKING: PLEASE DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE – Really, we can’t stress this enough. If you overindulge, leave your car and come back for it the next day. Take the free shuttle or a taxi; you’ll make some new friends and keep everyone safe. We also created these great options for you:
FREE SHUTTLE – the shuttle will run on a continuous loop on Saturday from 1:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Pick up and drop off are at the transit center on the corner of 2nd and Salem in downtown Chico.
RIDE YOUR BIKE – Chico Velo is offering complimentary bike valet and there is plentiful bike parking at the brewery! *Please bike responsibly! *
PARKING AT SILVER DOLLAR FAIRGROUNDS – Complimentary parking is available at the fairgrounds, which is a short walk to the brewery, or you can take the shuttle that will run back and forth from 1:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. If you need to, you can leave your car at the fairgrounds overnight and pick it up the next day.
