Chico Kite Day

Chico Area Recreation and Park District (CARD) invites you to come fly a kite at Kite Day, a free community event that beckons families to play outside and share a fun day at Community Park.

Activities

• Complimentary kites available for the first 100 kids
• Complimentary commemorative buttons for all kite flyers from sponsor Bird in Hand (while supplies last)
• Music from local radio station 92.7 BOB FM
• Face painting, bounce houses, and other activities from CARD
• Learning activity from Gateway Science Museum: learn just how the winds are generated with a hands-on experiment about clouds
• A special appearance from Mary Poppins and Bert from Noon-2pm: come sing “Chim Chim Cheree," take photos, sing songs, and fly kites for a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious time!

• Fork in the Road will be at the event, with food trucks from:
