4th of July Celebration in Paradise
Celebrate the 4th of July in Paradise with the Paradise Symphony Orchestra (PSO), which is going bigger and better in an extravaganza you won’t want to miss.
At 3pm, enjoy a free, family-friendly event in the Paradise Junior High School gym, featuring the PSO, the Paradise Community Chorus, the Mountain Ridge Singers, the Butte County Scottish Society, the Paradise Veterans Honor Guard, and others.
After a rousing introduction of John Phillip Sousa and Richard Rogers favorites, The Honor Guard will present the colors, and the audience will join in The Star Spangled Banner and The
Pledge of Allegiance.
What follows is almost an embarrassment of musical riches. All the heart-warming favorites will be there: America the Beautiful, Taps, Amazing Grace, God Bless America, 1812 Overture, and
Stars and Stripes Forever.
Special artistic treatment will accompany Lee Greenwood’s smash hit, Proud to Be an American. In its third Symphony appearance is The March of the First Responders, a tribute written by Dr. Roby after the Camp Fire, recognizing all first responders.
